Learn to Woodturn

Woodturning is an immensely satisfying craft with infinite possibilities and directions. From the simplest projects to high artforms, there is room for everyone. Unlike many other forms of woodworking which require a large shop and heavy equipment, woodturners can start with a small lathe in a small space and learn and grow. (Fair warning . . . once you get the bug you'll feel compelled to tool up!)

The Vermont Woodturning Guild offers workshops to its members; experience in woodturning and an understanding of lathe safety are prerequisites.

If you want to learn to turn from scratch, check out these venues. Many of the teachers are Vermont Woodturning Guild members.
