Workshop Info

In this three-hour workshop you will see up close and try your own hand at the special techniques of spindle turning. Master woodturner Nick Rosato will share the basics of spindle turning. Whether a finial, tool handle, table or chair legs or newel posts or balusters, there are tools and techniques to learn. Nick will discuss work mounting, tools, and demonstrate key techniques for efficient turning of with-the-grain works whether large or small. His work ranges from tiny decor items to massive architectural turnings, and everything in between. Nick Rosato is a longtime professional woodturner and longtime Guild member, having served as its president. He has taught and demonstrated woodturning widely and his works are showcased at many galleries in New England. His shop operates under the name Dendron Woodcraft and can be found online at dendronwoodcraft.com.
